oh no my blog's becoming dormant yet again. it's becoming increasingly hard to find time to blog. or maybe i just prefer doing other things when i'm online. hmm.
last friday's thanksgiving gave me a nice, homely feeling. i like mrs cheong's sharing in particular. it was pretty inspiring. i love mg =). i love mg a lot.
saturday's red blue gold was a low profile, but entertaining enough affair. not many people actually pulled off the retro look.
not too many people turned up for the a1 bbq on sunday but it was still nice to see whoever came. i think mary's maggi noodles and the twins' potato salad have become permanent on our class bbq menu. we tried singing the mg and ac anthems at the same time. i don't think they harmonise at all, save perhaps the first 3 notes. but it still is how both songs end at the same time.
the science symposium on tuesday was interesting for some bits, and boring for the others. i'm proud of myself for sitting through the semi-conductors and lasers talk myself. X) it wasn't totally irrelevant actually. he talked about orbitals of atoms for a good part of the time. i think the two free meals - tea and lunch - made the symposium really worth it. oh and someone's meatball bounced off the table on to the floor. the keyword here is bounced. ;)
yesterday's 1scone outing was throughly enjoyable. one thing though, we should have gone to kuishinbo instead of marche. at least i got to share the yummy banana and ice-cream waffle with valen. we went to the arcade after lunch. watching antoine, dior and valen play air hockey is pure entertainment. you should have heard them screaming!
srp today was quite a long event. i met pearlene there! i think it's my first time seeing her in what, 4 years? she used to be my best friend in mg primary =). that was a pretty long time ago huh. i saw deborah goh too. i didn't know she's in rj now too.
the stem cell talk was really good. the speaker who was also the guest-of-honour was a million times clearer then the speaker for the science symposium. i actually could understand everything he was saying.
have i mentioned how the place was swarming with hci and rj people? there were only 4 of us from ac. there were supposedly 2 others who didn't turn up.
once again, tea AND lunch was provided, lunch being only an hour after the preceding tea reception. at first they told us we only had to be back in 3 hours, so mag, mag and i went to jurong point. mag and i went there to look for the chem guide, since we were told we'd definitely get it there. they didn't have the chem tys though. the other mag accompanied us there and got yoghurt from andersen's.
to sidetrack a bit, why does everyone have to point out the pau shop to me when they go to jurong point? haha. though i must admit it's pretty cool to have your own shop.
anyway deborah called us to say they brought the briefing earlier by an hour so we rushed back immediately. apparently we weren't supposed to go out at all, but no one heard them say that =/. nevermind. we still got back in time.
